At various points in the Fractal Farm interface you'll need (or want) to define a color. The Fractal Farm, like much of the web, defines colors in RGB terms: differing quantities of Red, Green, and Blue. All three base colors receive integer values ranging between 0 and 255. The extreme values produce 6 strong colors, along with black and white.

As you can see, the 8 basic combinations don't cover even the standard 6 colors of the color wheel; both orange and violet are missing. At times it can be a major challenge to figure out the right RGB mix to get a specific color. The Fractal Farm recommends use of the ColorSchemer website for help in selecting color values, as well as finding combinations that look good together.

For a more holistic tool to help select color combinations, you might try using the on-line charts at Visibone's website; they focus on "websafe" colors, a subset which has the advantage of being feasible to plot out on a chart.
