Introduction
This is my wild stab at a podcast, dedicated in loving memory to the Candy Store radio show, hosted by the inimitable John Penney on WDET until mid-December of 2005. Given that I'd been listening to his show most weekends since the mid-90s, I felt rather adrift musically after hearing the news of the cancellation, and this seemed like just the right response to me. This show tends to be a mix of stuff I've picked up based on things I'd on WDET, combined with the cheap-ass music that I enjoy discovering; you can find out more about that on my Musical Bottom Feeding site.
